In 1985, James Mullis developed an effective roach bait product that he sold to supplement his retirement income.  When he passed away in 1996, this formula was passed down to his grandson Jay who ten years later, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps.  Jay refined his grandfather’s business while receiving his MBA at the University of Georgia. While competing in Business Plan Competitions held at major universities around the country, Jay and his team earned enough cash prizes to fund the initial phase of GDPS, Inc.

Green Dragon Pest Solutions, Inc. was created in January of 2008 and received EPA approval for its first product Green Dragon Roach Kill™ in April, 2008.  Green Dragon Roach Kill™ is an improved, 21st Century version of Jay’s grandfather’s roach bait that is also effective against ants, far easier to use and has a significantly longer shelf life than his grandfather’s formula.  Green Dragon's Insect Bait is environmentally safe and far less toxic to people, pets and children than most of the insecticides sold by other companies.  GDPS, Inc. is operated in Macon, GA and is currently developing its second product, Green Dragon Insect Dust™ to combat all crawling insects.
